This study aims to analyze the influence of Merdeka Curriculum implementation on students’ interest in learning mathematics in the Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) program at SMK Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. Learning interest is a critical variable as it contributes significantly to learning effectiveness and academic outcomes, especially in mathematics a subject often perceived as challenging. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method with a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 65 respondents who had experienced the Merdeka Curriculum for at least one semester. Instrument validity and reliability were tested using SmartPLS, with results showing all constructs met convergent validity (AVE > 0.5) and reliability standards (Composite Reliability > 0.9). The coefficient of determination (R²) reached 0.6405, indicating that the Merdeka Curriculum explains 64.05% of the variance in students’ interest in learning mathematics. Hypothesis testing through bootstrapping revealed a path coefficient of 0.8003, a t-statistic of 19.2392, and a p-value of 0.000, confirming a significant and positive influence. This study concludes that the Merdeka Curriculum effectively enhances students’ interest in learning mathematics, although its success depends on the readiness of teachers, educational facilities, and supportive learning environments.
Risma Aprilia Putri Tiara Nainggolan Vera Wati Malau Trinita Oktheresia Ompusunggu Noni Winda Simatupang Juwita Dwi Adsari Copyright (c) 2025 Risma Aprilia Putri, Tiara Nainggolan, Vera Wati Malau, Trinita Oktheresia Ompusunggu, Noni Winda Simatupang, Juwita Dwi Adsari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-07 2025-07-07 4 3 313 322 10.56916/jp.v4i3.1881 Analisis Minat Membuka Media Sosial Terhadap Konsentrasi Mahasiswa Menggunakan Metode Statistik Deskriptif https://ejournal.papanda.org/index.php/jp/article/view/1836
This study aims to determine the effect of interest in accessing social media on the concentration levels of Information Systems students from the 2023 cohort at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive statistical approach and correlation analysis. Data were obtained from questionnaires voluntarily completed by 50 students. Each respondent provided a score for their interest in accessing social media (scale 1–5) and a daily concentration level score (scale 1–5). The collected data were processed using percentage analysis to observe the distribution of both variables, followed by correlation analysis. The results showed that most students fell into the moderate (30%) and high (20%) categories of social media interest. Meanwhile, concentration scores were predominantly in the moderate (22%) and high (20%) categories. A negative relationship trend was found between interest in accessing social media and concentration level; students who reported very high interest tended to have lower concentration levels, and vice versa. These findings are consistent with literature stating that social media is a major source of distraction that can reduce academic performance. Therefore, it can be concluded that high usage of social media has the potential to decrease students' concentration in daily activities.
Ratu Kaisha az Putri Aulia Ananda Alfharizi Hafiz Adelyna Oktavia Nst Copyright (c) 2025 Ratu Kaisha az, Putri Aulia, Ananda Alfharizi, Hafiz, Adelyna Oktavia Nst https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-07 2025-07-07 4 3 323 328 10.56916/jp.v4i3.1836 Komparatif Efektivitas Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Media Diagram Pintar (DIPIN) dan Pembelajaran Konvensional Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa Kelas 5 SD https://ejournal.papanda.org/index.php/jp/article/view/1890
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by DiPin media on students' conceptual understanding in the topic of data collection. The research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design involving two classes at SD Tanwirul Qulub Kudus: class 5A as the experimental group using the PBL model assisted by media, and class 5B as the control group using only the conventional model. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test questions designed to measure students' mathematical conceptual understanding. Data analysis was conducted using five statistical tests: normality test, homogeneity test, ANOVA, Paired Sample t-Test, N-Gain, and Independent Samples t-Test. The results showed that learning with visual aids was more effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding and numerical abilities compared to conventional learning. The test data from classes 5A and 5B were normally distributed (p > 0.05) and had homogeneous variances (p = 0.411), fulfilling the requirements for parametric testing. The ANOVA test showed a significant difference between the two classes (p = 0.000; F = 31.370). In class 5A, the Paired Sample t-Test indicated a significant increase from pre-test to post-test (a 25-point increase; p = 0.000). The N-Gain score in class 5A was also higher (63.79%) compared to class 5B (23.51%). The Independent Samples t-Test confirmed these findings with significant results (p = 0.000), and the average post-test score was higher in class 5A (84.67) compared to 5B (65.67). Thus, learning using visual aids has been proven to be more effective in improving student learning outcomes.
Duwike Wulan Sari Audita Nelisa Putri Indah Puji Lestari Nadhira Agfifaza Aulia Fitriyah Amaliyah Copyright (c) 2025 Duwike Wulan Sari, Audita Nelisa Putri, Indah Puji Lestari, Nadhira Agfifaza Aulia, Fitriyah Amaliyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-07 2025-07-07 4 3 329 339 10.56916/jp.v4i3.1890 Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik https://ejournal.papanda.org/index.php/jp/article/view/1861
This study aims to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This study aims to describe the mathematical reasoning ability of Grade VIII students at MTs Nurul Jadid in solving mathematical word problems. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with six student subjects, grouped into high, medium, and low ability categories. The research instruments consisted of test questions and interview guidelines. In this study, the data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The indicators of mathematical reasoning included: (1) making conjectures, (2) formulating problem-solving strategies, (3) performing calculations, and (4) drawing conclusions. The results showed that high-ability students (T1 and T2) were able to meet all four indicators accurately; they could clearly make conjectures, determine problem-solving strategies, perform calculations accurately and systematically, and draw logical conclusions. Medium-ability students (S1 and S2) met only some indicators. Subject S1 fulfilled two indicators, namely making conjectures and determining problem-solving strategies. Subject S2 was only able to make conjectures but failed in the other indicators. Meanwhile, low-ability students (R1 and R2) encountered difficulties in almost all indicators. Although both subjects were able to make conjectures, they were unsuccessful in formulating strategies, performing calculations, and drawing logical conclusions. In some cases, no answers were found at all on their worksheets, indicating complete confusion in starting the problem-solving process.
Dini Izzatul Millah Shofia Hidayah Copyright (c) 2025 Dini Izzatul Millah, Shofia Hidayah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-08-14 2025-08-14 4 3 654 670 10.56916/jp.v4i3.2154 Analisis Hubungan antara Self-Efficacy dan Persepsi Mahasiswa terhadap Strategi Problem Solving dalam Konteks Literasi Matematika https://ejournal.papanda.org/index.php/jp/article/view/2030
This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and students' perceptions of problem-solving strategies within the context of mathematical literacy. Using a quantitative correlational approach, this research involved 20 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using two Likert scale questionnaires to measure self-efficacy and perceptions of problem-solving strategies. As the data were not normally distributed based on the Shapiro-Wilk test (p < 0.05), the relationship was analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed a correlation coefficient (rₛ) of 0.293 with a significance value (p-value) of 0.210. Since the p-value > 0.05, it is concluded that there is no statistically significant relationship between self-efficacy and students' perceptions of problem-solving strategies. Although a weak positive trend was observed, the null hypothesis stating no significant relationship could not be rejected in this study.
Hanuri Sakarti Copyright (c) 2025 Hanuri Sakarti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-08-14 2025-08-14 4 3 671 678 10.56916/jp.v4i3.2030 Penerapan Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Berbantu Wordwall pada Materi Kesebangunan Kelas VII MTs.
