Tradisi Khidmah dalam Pengembangan Kecerdasan Intrapersonal dan Interpersonal Mahasantri

Tradisi khidmah merupakan salah satu pilar pendidikan karakter yang khas di pesantren, termasuk di lingkungan Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Raya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran tradisi khidmah dalam mengasah karakter mahasantri, khususnya dalam perspektif Pendidikan Agama Islam, melalui penguatan kecerdasan interpersonal dan intrapersonal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap mahasantri, pengurus, serta pengasuh pesantren di beberapa unit di bawah naungan Tebuireng Raya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik khidmah, baik yang bersifat individual kepada kiai maupun kolektif kepada lembaga pesantren, mampu mengembangkan kemampuan sosial seperti komunikasi, empati, dan kepemimpinan (kecerdasan interpersonal), serta kesadaran diri, refleksi, dan kemandirian (kecerdasan intrapersonal). Tradisi ini bukan hanya bentuk pengabdian, tetapi juga menjadi sarana pembinaan spiritual dan emosional sesuai nilai-nilai inti dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam, seperti ukhuwah, ihsan, ta’awun, tazkiyah al-nafs, dan muhasabah. Dengan demikian, khidmah terbukti sebagai metode pendidikan karakter yang otentik dan kontekstual dalam sistem pesantren.
