Hubungan Self Awareness dengan Kedisiplinan Pada Peserta Didik Kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan perilaku peserta didik seperti keterlambatan datang ke sekolah, tidak memakai seragam sesuai aturan, tidak mengerjakan tugas tepat waktu, dan meninggalkan kelas saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, beberapa peserta didik menunjukkan kurangnya kesadaran diri terhadap tanggung jawab dan peran sebagai pelajar, seperti membandingkan diri secara negatif dengan orang lain, kurang percaya diri, dan tidak mampu mengenali emosi diri sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Tingkat self awareness peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Tigo Nagari, 2) Tingkat kedisiplinan peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Tigo Nagari, dan 3) Hubungan antara self awareness dengan kedisiplinan peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan populasi sebanyak 120 peserta didik dan sampel sebanyak 60 peserta didik yang diambil melalui teknik proportional sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket, dan teknik analisis data menggunakan persentase serta uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Self awareness peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi, 2) Kedisiplinan peserta didik berada pada kategori sangat baik, dan 3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self awareness dengan kedisiplinan dengan koefisien korelasi sedang dan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, direkomendasikan kepada peserta didik untuk terus meningkatkan self awareness dan kedisiplinan agar dapat menunjang keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaran. Bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling untuk terus mendorong dan memotivasi peserta didik agar dapat meningkatkan self awareness dan kedisiplinan di lingkungan sekolah
