Pengaruh Model Project Based Learning Berbasis Sekolah Siaga Kependudukan terhadap Motivasi Belajar dan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

Abstract

Rendahnya motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pengolahan data kependudukan berdampak signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Geografi. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis Sekolah Siaga Kependudukan (SSK) terhadap motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Bangkalan. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain non-equivalent control group design melibatkan 71 siswa yang terbagi dalam kelompok eksperimen (n=36) dan kontrol (n=35). Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi model ARCS dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Paired Sample T-Test dan N-Gain Score. Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan perbedaan sangat signifikan (p < 0,05) antara pretest dan posttest pada kedua variabel. Analisis N-Gain mengungkapkan motivasi belajar meningkat 63,03% (cukup efektif), sementara keterampilan berpikir kritis meningkat 51,49% (kurang efektif). Model PjBL berbasis SSK terbukti efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, namun pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis memerlukan strategi scaffolding yang lebih terstruktur dan berkelanjutan.
