Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain non equivalent control group desain, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SDN 01 Bandok. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVA dan kelas IVB. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen (IVA) dan kelas kontrol (IVB). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Hasil observasi menunjukkan keterlaksanaan model problem based learning 88,9% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Data hasil tes dianalisis menggunakan uji T dengan uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan data homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai t-hitung sebesar 2,181 > t-tabel 1,690 dan sig.2 tailed < 0,05, yaitu 0,014 < 0,05 yang berarti Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, yang menunjukkan ada perbedaan kedua kelas setelah perlakuan.  Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Bandok.
